Bleaching

Drinking coffee, tea, red wine, and smoking can discolor your teeth. By bleaching your teeth you can lighten up the color of your teeth a few shades.

At dental practice Noorddok NDSM we offer two options to bleach your teeth.
With the first option the dentist or dental hygienist will bleach your teeth at our practice. After your teeth are cleaned thoroughly, the bleach gel is applied onto your teeth and an intensified light will be placed onto your teeth for a little while. After about an hour your teeth are lighter than before. If you are not quite content, we will repeat the treatment until you are satisfied. You will leave the practice with a shiny smile within one hour.

With the second option you bleach your teeth at home with customized bleaching dental imprints. With this option you bleach an hour every day for one week. The concentration of the bleach is a little less strong, so it takes a bit longer for your teeth to lighten up. You also have to repeat the bleaching more often, but the result will last longer. Because of the lower concentration of the bleach you will experience less pain afterwards. The bleaching is 100% safe.

At home bleaching:

Step 1:

It is wise to have your teeth cleaned thoroughly by a dental hygienist before you start bleaching your teeth. Your teeth are plaque free which makes the bleaching gel more potent, with whiter teeth as a result.

Step 2:

The dentist will make a dental imprint so we can make customized bleaching sets for you.

Step 3:

You will receive your bleaching set. With this you can bleach your teeth daily. You can re-use the bleaching set. After a couple of days you will notice visible results.

You can decide yourself when your teeth are white enough. With one person it’s after 3 sessions, with another 7 or even 10 sessions.
